The Creighton Club, founded in 1921, is the principal historic meeting ground for philosophers in upstate and western New York. Our April 2022 conference (rescheduled from 2021) is our centennial. The centennial comprises an almost all-keynote program, featuring Louise Antony, Earl Conee, Nicole HassounJessica Moss, and Ted Sider. The conference will also include a talk by the winner of the Graduate Student Presentation Award. We will provide accommodation for the graduate student presenter, as well as a small stipend to help cover their travel costs.

Guidelines for graduate student paper submissions:

  • Papers in any philosophical area are welcome.
  • Membership is not required for consideration or acceptance.
  • Papers should be no more than 5000 words (for a presentation time of 30 minutes) and must include an abstract of up to 150 words.
  • Papers should be anonymized for review.
  • Papers should be submitted as a pdf attachment to TheCreightonClub@gmail.com
  • Anyone graduate students interested in commenting should let us know as soon as possible, with an indication of your fields of interest.
